Join the Bat Boy Edgar and his buddy 'Thulie as they explore the town of Dapper Hollows in this Inktober Sketchbook collection from artist Kristopher McClanahan. What is Inktober? It's an art event every year where people all around the world draw something every day in the month of October. It's a chance to practice drawing or have fun with something new. For 2015, I decided I wanted to create a new world for Inktober, and the image of this cute little Bat appeared. We named him Edgar the Bat Boy and before long, his entire world appeared out of the mists! Edgar lives in a place called Dapper Hollows, a town in a valley, surrounded by dark forests and mysterious caves that lead to other worlds and adventures. It's always just before Halloween in Dapper Hollows - that wonderful time of the year when the air is crisp and cool and leaves crunch under your feet. The town is filled with all sorts of fun monsters and people, they have a great comic book store, a spooky cemetery and a huge library. I have always been a huge fan of horror and old movies and Dapper Hollows is my chance to create the kind of old fashioned world I'd love to live in, with caves that lead to strange worlds and forests full of fairies and beasties. I also hope it will inspire my readers to create their own adventures and join Edgar and his pal 'Thulie on theirs! This sketchbook is a peek into my development of the new world.

A hilarious collection of hand drawn illustrations in ink, as a personal goal to complete the 2017 Inktober Challenge. This year's theme was crazy contraptions, machines that are too convoluted to work or just plain silly. There is an obvious influence by Mad Magazine's artists both in technique and dark humor. I truly hope you enjoy it as much as I did creating it.

This is a gallery of local Indian markets, Gajras and peppermints. It serves Metkut and adhesives on a dinner plate. There are earrings on soft boards and Marlboros on the college canteen floor. It has Ghungroos on a Christmas wreath and embroidery hoops stuck in rusty buses. It echoes the walls of a boho apartment and art classes in kaleidoscopic brothels. This is a gallery of the supernatural, divine, extraordinary and inherent – the power within us and all living beings – of Delivery Executive Manju, Architect Gargi, Professor Miller, Vagabond Bilva, Security Guard Amar Chacha and umpteen. This is Orenda. This is us.
